Full Message X-Men Movies (My Ideas) From: Nave Hayder Add to Contacts To: solomon genesis Hi, I've been looking for a way to express my ideas for what SHOULD be the upcoming X-Men movie slate. Note that this is all humbug and brainstorm (hence the incoherent narration) but I think this should be made. As a fellow reader of comics, I urge you to go through this and let me know what you think. Thanks. -Nave Hayder There should be two franchises of the X-Men, one following the events of the first 3 movies (sequel) and the other focusing on Origins (prequels). The sequel franchise will involve Apocalypse. Here's my idea for directors: X-Men Origins: Magneto........................Brian Singer X-Men Origins: First Class....................Kevin Smith X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2....................Frank Miller X-Men Origins: Deadpool.......................Rob Liefield (if First Class is a hit, make a sequel involving the Sentinels or Juggernaut) Now for the Apocalypse Franchise: make 2 major films that continue the story (X4 and X5 respectively) but make spinoff films between movies (subchapters) here's what it looks like: X4: Apocalypse/X-Men Alpha (directed by Brian Singer or the Watchowski Brothers) Age of Apocalypse: X-Calibre (directed by Niell Blomkamp) Age of Apocalypse: Gambit (directed by Joe Carnahan) Age of Apocalypse: Weapon X-aka-Wolverine 3 (by Darren Aronofsky) Age of Apocalypse: Factor X-aka-Cyclops (by Danny Boyle) finally, X5: X-Men Omega (by the same team behind X4) I know this is stretched, but this is what the franchise would look like: X-Men Origins: Magneto directed by Brian Singer Charles Xavier Erik Lehnsherr From 1935 to 1961. The story of how Erik Lehnsherr became Magneto. The story progresses through the Holocaust, Erik's meeting with Charles, the rise of Mutant rebellion and Erik's fall from the peace that Xavier speaks of. The Westchester Estate is purchased. Xavier's family line is explored. Magneto's two children are spoken of. This is a progressive drama set around the two ideals. It uses Flashback Narrative to explore two stories one showing Magneto powerless. The other elaborating on Magneto's origin. They discover the initial program algorithms for the telepathic Cerebro program. The X-Men are sought for. The school is established and the friendship is shattered. Their primary enemy would be each other, but a more tangent foe would be the MOLD system (a corruption of Cerebro?) Other characters may include second-tier characters from the book who will act as 'teachers' to the children, a coworker for Xavier and Erik. The flashback will end with Xavier being crippled. In modern times, Magneto is seen powerless as the humans are slowly destroying the mutant race. This is a comment on exactly WHAT a MUTANT GENOME is. Their race, their right for existence. Like a Holocaust survivor, Erik Lehnsherr sees as the world eats away his brothers, but inwardly he knows that there will be a time when justice is served. We also justify Magneto here. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- X-Men Origins: First Class directed by Kevin Smith "The All-New, All-different" X-Men. Additional 'teachers' include: Banshee, Thunderbird (?), and Sunfire. Professor Charles Xavier Magneto Scott Summers Jean Grey Emma Frost Henry McCoy Ororo Monroe Alex Summers Toad Quicksilver Scarlet Witch Blob? Robert Kelly Set after the events of X-Men Origin: Magneto. Xavier launching Cerebro for the first time. Magneto's BROTHERHOOD OF MUTANTS (taken from the pages of Ultimate X-Men). The role of terrorism. Focus on the X-Men, not Xavier and Lehnsherr. Introduce Robert Kelly and Boliver Trask. Battle the Brotherhood of Mutants and the Sentinels. Link cerebro to Master Mold while keeping things simple, Kevin Smith style. It should take inspirations from both CHILDREN OF THE ATOM and X-MEN EVOLUTION -------------------------------------------------------------------------- X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2 directed by Frank Miller "I'm the best there is at what I do, but what I do isn't very nice," Logan, Japan, Frank Miller. 'Nuff said. Now, for the APOCALYPSE FRANCHISE: (X4) X-Men Alpha: [RISE OF APOCALYPSE. Legacy Virus. Bishop. Proteus/Moira MacTaggart/Muir Island. Magneto's X-Men.] [Dispersing the Team into BLUE and GOLD.] The events of X3 are now called 'M-Day' by historians. X4 begins with the UXM Proteus storyline and subsequent Coming of Bishop. Angel's deployment into Muir Island. Rise of Apocalypse. Magneto's X-Men and the offshoot of the 'Cure' = THE LEGACY VIRUS. There are 3 levels of the LEGACY virus which is subsequently rumoured to be from the sideeffects of the 'cure'. It's an allegory for AIDs but eventually allows the Rise of Apocalypse in the present. Legacy-1 and Legacy-2 affected the x-gene alone, this 'x-factor', if present in the bloodstream, would allow the virus to develop. Upon detection, the virus would begin inserting introns (junk DNA sequences) into the transcription codings of the victim's mutant RNA, the process commonly being triggered after the patient used their powers for the first time after contracting the disease. The result was a major compromise of the replication and transcription process so disruptive as to eventually render the body incapable of creating healthy cells, ultimately resulting in the death of the victim. If it did not detect the x-factor, it would be harmless to the host. Prior to death, the viroid causes its host's powers to flare out of control. Illyana Rasputin acquired Legacy-1 (which is very much like cancer). Victims of Legacy-2 developed skin lesions, fever, cough and overall weakness (symptoms displayed by the telepathic X-Man Revanche). The slow nature of Legacy-2 is why St. John "Pyro" Allerdyce survived for years following his initial infection. The Legacy Virus was based on a virus created by Apocalypse in the distant future, which was intended to kill the remaining non-mutants. Dark Beast is also rumoured to have a sample of the Legacy Virus. By the end of the film, there wouldn't be a 'cure' for the virus - there aren't any 'cure' for AIDs. We must live with it. AMAZING XMEN: Team Gold evacuates humanity from the USA. Faces Apocalpyse's Horsemen Abyss and Factor X Abyss escapes. Magneto & Bishop are attacked by Apocalypse himself; takes them captive. Iceman rendezvous with Team Blue and disperses Gold to get Charles back. Meets up with Gambit & Lila. The rest of Team Gold ventures to rescue Bishop. Final encounter with Abyss at the Apocalpyse Church. Colossus & Pryde are involved. ASTONISHING XMEN: Team Blue is sent to stop the cullings. Encounters Holocaust. Team Blue destroys the factory. Rogue returns to find out that Magneto has been captured. Apocalypse launches a massive attack to the remaining resurgences in North America and Europe. By the end of the movie, Magneto sends Wolverine, Gambit and Nightcrawler to cover different aspects of the Apocalypse War and the revival of Xavier. Movie will centre around Bishop, Magneto, Apocalypse, Wolverine, Rogue, Colossus and Storm. Will feature different aspects of the upcoming team and lead into it. Will prominantly feature APOCALYPSE above all else. Angel is lost to the cullings after Muir Island is attacked... Apocalypse's real name, En Sabah Nur, including his birthplace (Egypt), and the alien origin of his technology, was revealed in a flashback in X-Force #37 (vol. 1, August 1994). The origin story of Apocalypse relates that he is the first mutant, born 5,000 years ago. In this flashback sequence (if we ever succumb to it) 'Ahmed Abdol' (living monoloth *snorts*) should be mentioned...somewhere. Apocalypse's allies include Exodus and Sinister (though the latter won't appear until much later). He is a myth in ACT I but will eventually grow...as we chronical his RISE in absolute Greek-Tragedy form. His bases include a Celestial cloaked ship that floats above New York, and one in Mount Everest. Bent on becoming the new messiah for mutant-kind, Apocalypse approaches the world leaders at the United Nations in New York and issues an ultimatum: humanity would destroy ninety percent of its own population, putting man and mutant on level ground in anticipation of the final conflict when the worthy alone would survive - or Apocalypse would unleash his meta-plague on the world and obliterate all humanity. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ExCalibre (X-Men Age of Apocalypse: Nightcrawler) [The Deviants] [The Maruders - Human Supremacists] [Messiah Complex - First mutant birth since M-day] This is a story about life and birth. About its sustainence. Nightcrawler's origins will be shown through the 'X' Eye at the beginning of the movie. MYSTIQUE, NIGHTCRAWLER and their off-shoot team are sent to GENOSHA. The team is often called the European branch. Sent by Magneto to locate 'Destiny'; a mutant who knows how to look into the future (seemingly). This power will be used to comment on how the future of the refugees are uncertain, and that certainty is a trivial notion that will eventually render Destiny a meaningless being. They will collaborate with Moira MacTaggart. They head to AVALON/Genosha: the apertheid nation. the Morlocks aid refugees underground. The Pale Riders. Encounter with ShadoW KING. We must show that Nightcrawler is trying live up to the Professor's teachings and trying to do the same for a new breed of mutants. Overall, it's a documentary-piece. We see the Deviants (the deformed mutants) and the Maruders (Sinister's assassins) who are responsible for the Mutant Massacre in Genosha. [Like the House of M, the movie will begin with a birth and subsequently reveal that the mother (or child, whichever is proper) had been in a comatose, mental illusion. She is really in the war-torn, devastated refugee camp in Genosha. Perhaps this is Destiny, perhaps the child is Destiny. Eitherway, both will be central figures in the film. The mother could be Wanda (the Scarlet Witch) and the child could be Destiny. Of course, this will only exacerbate the "PARENT/CHILD" themes prevalent throughout the series... unless of course, we MAKE it that way. For the time being this tastes stale. From the same source, we could synthesize that Destiny's power isn't "seeing the future" but seeing "different alterations of possible timelines", that is, seeing parallel timelines.] [NOTE: This is pre-Magneto Genosha.] Mojo Adams (from ULTIMATE X-MEN) will make an appearance where he hosts a recreational show involving humans hunting down mutants in Genosha. All for the sake of good sportsmanship... on part of the humans. The movie will be akin to District 9 in terms of theme. [Shadow King (Claremont&John Byrne) the character first appears in MAGNETO as a telepathic mutant named Amahl Farouk X-Treme X-Men and X-Men: True Friends developed/retconned the Shadow King into actually being an entity of the astral plane that has existed since the dawn of humanity, an ethereal demon preferring to enslave the bodies of powerful telepaths and psi-sentives and utilize their capabilities to enslave others to its whims. As a side effect of its greed, hedonism, and utter lack of self control, the Shadow King's longterm telepathic hosts are often left morbidly obese. In the Age of Apocalypse storyline, the Shadow King is an agent of Apocalypse, seen manifested as a cloudy face inside of a bottle in Apocalypse's sanctum. He was used by Apocalypse to hunt down almost all telepaths. He was also responsible for the destruction of the secret Heaven located in the Savage Land known as Avalon, but was eventually defeated by Nightcrawler, Mystique, Switchback, and his former student Damask. In X-Men Origins, Shadow King appears as Storm's lover (abusive parent?!) and the leader of the group of thieves that she belongs to. Storm sends him into a coma after unintentionally electrocuting him when she used her powers to summon lightning for the first time. As a result, his mind is sent to another dimension where he encounters the Brood and becomes the Shadow King. We could swap SHADOW KING for EXODUS just for the sake of simplicity.] Destiny revealed that 'The Twelve' alone would kill Apocalypse. "The dozen mutant humans who will one day rise up and lead all of mutantkind in war against homo sapiens in the twilight of Earth." Nathaniel Essex shown as a servant of Apocalypse and was experimenting on Genoshan prisoners. --------------------------------------------------------- X-Ternals (aka X-Men Age of Apocalypse: Gambit) [The Twelve] [M'Kraan Crystal and the Phoenix Force?!] Gambit and Jubilee (non X-men) head a team in order to thwart "the Twelve" - Destiny's prophecised list of mutants/humans who alone can eliminate Apocalypse. The movie Smokin' Aces will serve as a reference for the film. Rictor is the main antagonist. (Shi'ar Pagans?) Gambit's team member betrays the clan and runs away with the M'Kraan Crystal. Magneto's son Charles (Quicksilver) goes MIA. When Apocalypse claimed to know the Twelve, the only twelve mutants who could unite to destroy him. It is revealed at the end of this story arc, that Apocalypse's physical form has been burned out due to the vast amount of energies he has under his control, forcing him to wear a bio-armor (like his future counterpart), and now plans to use Cyclops (in the comics it was Nate Grey) as a host body for him to move his energy and consciousness into. It should be suggested that Cyclops, Wolverine, Jean Grey and Charles Xavier are a part of the list. Also that the list doesn't only involve MUTANTS, but HUMANS too. Franklin Richards (his name appeared on the X2 list) should be integrated...somehow. [According to the comics, Destiny's Diary revealed the Twelve to be: * Magneto and Polaris, representing opposing magnetic poles. * Storm, Sunfire and Iceman, representing the elements (with Storm evolving into a primal elemental force). * Cyclops, Phoenix and Cable, representing family (Father, Mother, Child), and chosen for the power of the Summers-Grey bloodline. * Bishop and Mikhail Rasputin, representing time and space, respectively. * Professor X, representing the mind. * The Living Monolith as the core. But we could alter this in anyway we find suitable for the basis of the story. It will be revealed in the end that the Twelve actually serve to give Apocalypse more power, rather than kill him. The Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Polaris will be involved. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WEAPON X (X-Men Age of Apocalypse: Wolverine aka Wolverine III) [Search for Cyclops/Sinister/Factor X] [Might feature the Alpha Squadron and link Logan's origin] Wolverine is Magneto's sleeper agent for the govt. The Human High Council seeks to launch a nuke on USA. Residues of the Professor and Phoenix Force. They are at war with Factor X. Hired to kill Henry McCoy AKA the defecting scientist codenamed BEAST. WOLVERINE is a mythical legend. Highly involved in the world politics against Apocalypse and Mutants. Emma Frost is the sleeper agent for Factor X. Working with... Scott Summers! The Human High Council, Shadow King, Emma Frost, cameos by Captain America and The Black Widow (Scarlett Johanson). Logan back to basics. Like the original 'Weapon X' series in 1991, Logan will seek out to find links to the legend of Doctor Nathaniel Essex (Mister Sinister). An uncovered journal of the late Nazi scientist reveals that the Canadian 'Weapon X' project was based on experiments originally conceived by him. The experiments and research were then later picked up by 'Weapon Plus' at the end of World War II. [From 'Weapon X' and Wolverine Origins, test subjects of Weapon X were the members of a covert CIA group called Team X: Wolverine, Sabretooth, Maverick, Silver Fox, Mastodon, and Wraith (Logan, Creed, Agent Zero, Wraith, Deadpool, Blob and Bolt in the film). Weapon X (as it will be revealed by the end of the movie) was a part of a larger program called Weapon Plus, a United States supersoldier program created in the 1940s which lead to Project Rebirth. Logan had eventually left the facility under a murderious rampage, inadvertantly freeing most of the subjects. Dr. Abraham Cornelius was the scientist working under William Stryker at the time. The Weapon X Program was continued in order to recreate Wolverine, this resulted in 23 known subjects and involved Yuriko 'Deathstrike'. The Weapon X Project (involving Adamantium) had grown so much that it had completely branched off from Weapon Plus during Logan's original timeframe. It was spearheaded by the Canadian subdivision Department K. The Second Installment also involved Deadpool. It is revealed later on that Warren Worthington's CURE and LEGACY were developed from concepts originating here. Hence it is crucial to the defeat and slaughtering of Apocalypse's influence. It was responsible for M-Day.] Also reveal the first film adaptation of The ALPHA FLIGHT. As seen in ULTIMATE X-MEN. The Alpha Flight would be using BANSHEE and Vindicator would claim that Alpha Flight is the first internationally sanctioned mutant team made powerful enough to take on any "considerable" threats such as the Liberators, the Brotherhood, and the Ultimates, as Vindicator sees the latter as loyal only to America and Alpha Flight to the world. Logan will encounter many 'Weapon X' victims who had acquired the Legacy Virus. Perhaps a return of Sabretooth to make things complete. It is Victor Creed who will eventually kill 'Death' (aka Angel) in the future movie. Sinister note: [Claremont revisited his character in the non-canon 2004-2006 miniseries, X-Men: The End, where it's revealed that Sinister is not immortal but transfers his psyche and powers from his old body into younger clones.] Sinister owes all his abilities to Apocalypse, who experimented on Sinister and gave him his longevity and durability. Over time he gained additional powers. It is very likely that Sinister learned to manipulate his own genes to take on additional powers. Only weakness: Optic Blasts. He got super powers by experiments alone. His greatest power is mind control, even Professor X can not break his control over someone or resist his commands. He is also undetectable by cameras and scanning devices, allowing him to elude security systems. Serving "Lord Apocalypse" who orders him to kill mutants. After being imprisoned, Sinister fakes suicide to escape from The Triskellion to complete his mission of killing ten mutants. * In X2, Nathaniel Essex's name appears on the files when Mystique is browsing around on William Stryker's computer.[citation needed] Mister Sinister appears in X2: Wolverine's Revenge voiced by Christopher Corey Smith. He appears as a prison warden for a mutant detention centre known as The Void. He orders a cyborg-like female commander named May Deuce and her soldiers to track down Wolverine, who infiltrated The Void, and escaped mutants Omega Red, and Magneto. He also is seen as a henchman to Apocalypse, who orders him to "make preparations for his horsemen" in the game's last cutscene. It is revealed that Apocalypse is using Scott Summers as a host; trying to transfer his own self into the 'perfect mutant bloodline'. Hints at "Days of Future Past". The Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver will make appearances. Weapon X tackles the Phalanx Covenant. Soon after, it is revealed that the "X" in "Weapon X" was a Roman numeral, making Wolverine "Weapon Ten" in a sequence of living super-weapons that began with Captain America and Isaiah Bradley. The Weapon X program that experimented on Wolverine spun out of a larger "Weapon Plus" program, leading Wolverine on a mission to bring down Weapon Plus and discover Wolverine's true identity. During the assault on Weapon Plus, Wolverine kills Weapon XV, also known as Ultimaton.[37] Wolverine then gains access to the Weapon X files that describe his genesis, though this happens largely off-panel and it is not clear to the reader precisely what he learns. What is known is that he was intended to be a living Sentinel and that, to test the extent of his brainwashing, he was forced to exterminate the populace of a small Midwestern town called Roanoke. Wolverine becomes depressed and angry after learning he was created to hunt and exterminate his own people, though Jean Grey is able to convince him that no matter what his makers intended for him, he is still a good man. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FACTOR X (X-Men Age of Apocalypse: Cyclops) [Note, only film to have Cyclops, Beast, Angel, Iceman and "Jean"] In the Age of Apocalypse storyline, Mister Sinister is one of Apocalypse's Horsemen, the foster father of Cyclops and Havok (who are members of the Elite Mutant Force), and has his own Breeding Pen to help make the Ultimate Mutant. Like his mainstream incarnation, Sinister betrays Apocalypse and, in order to destroy his hated master, breeds the powerful psychic Nate Grey, who ultimately turns on him and apparently kills him. He digs up Jean Grey's body and resurrects her after finding that Jean is the Phoenix. He is obsessed with Jean Grey. (4 sibling pairs) CYCLOPS, HAVOK, Guthries, Bedlams and the Beaubiers. EMF maintains Apocalypse's army and breeding pens. The systemic cleansing of the weaker species ['Species' has replaced 'Race']. In the comics, there is a scene where Cyclops' astral form is killed by Dark Phoenix and Jason Wyngard. We will use that as an explanation for Cyclops' survival: During the Dark Phoenix Saga, there was a scene where Jason Wyngard and Phoenix kills off Cyclops' astral form. It was later revealed that Jean Grey's latent persona forbode the Phoenix Force from finishing the job. Moments later, Cyclops pulls a thought-bubble explanation and jumps back to his feet, claiming that his 'astral death' could have been strong enough to kill his physical form (because, if we believe we're dead we might as well could be -- AKA -- Walking Corpse Syndrome (the mental disorder IS as cooky as it sounds). His astral form was killed in X3, and thus he has been comatose for a long time. Revived by DR. ESSEX and Apocalypse, Scott struggles to balance the physical and the ideal-- the mind and the body --this will be a prevalent theme throughout the film as it involves further information about the revival of Prof. XAVIER and the rebirth of the PHOENIX FORCE through CABLE. EMMA FROST's mind-sex with Scott and the subsequent final showdown between Cyclops and WOLVERINE. The battle will symbolise the idea of the mind (Scott) battling the body (Logan) and it's subsequent end result. Cyclops will blow Wolverine's arm clean off. Apocalypse later recruits mutants to serve as his Four Horsemen. Among them is Angel, whom Apocalypse saves from an exploding plane, granting him artificial wings (after he had lost his own natural wings) in exchange for his servitude. The X-Factor member is reborn as Death. It will be revealed that The movie will end with the destruction of Apocalypse's culling-grounds. Havok and Beast are integral parts here, as well as Sinister, who escapes with Cable with the hope to preserve the mutant bloodline. Cyclops and Sinister will face off in X5. Moreover, the film will be very much like SUNSHINE in the sense that it is bleak, lacks emotion and the macroevents are very, very personal for each character. James Marsden will look like the original Nick Fury (sans one eye, roughed up face) by the end of the film as he, Beast and Emma proceeds to destroy the remaining culling grounds in North America. The scientist is Beast; Emma Frost is the telepath. They are lead by Sinister. In the heart of Manhattan Island. Betrayal. Cyclops' plan of Emma's retrival and the birth of Cable. Beast is trying to reuse cerebro to locate the professor. Everything falls into pieces. Cyclops doesn't trust Magneto or Logan. Angel has become Death. The Four Horseman shall rise to bring fourth the Ruin that Apocalpyse has ushered. Cyclops plans to reignite the Phoenix Force into the child. Wolverine and Bobby Drake would be sent into the culling grounds. Cyclops separates himself from Apocalypse and Sinister. The setting will be much like Kubrick's "internalized" macrocosm. And will mimic an Egyptian Pyramid in modern context. Scott frees Polaris (Magneto's daughter?) She is Iceman/Bobby's ex-girlfriend and Magneto has sent him to bring her out, complications rise with Havok, who had grown a liking for her. Logan complicates things further by stating that Magneto never intended for her escape, but Quicksilver (who dies in the previous film) did. Polaris had no memory of Magneto or her siblings. Apocalypse keeps Cable... (More Kubrick/Kafkaesque storytelling, zero sensationalism). Beast and Forge's alliance with Mister Sinister will be taken from the Phalanx Covenant storyarc. A repository of the X-Factor in the mutant genome. Wolverine meets with Cyclops because of the Weapon Plus initiatives. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XMEN OMEGA Final Battle Wolverine, Storm and Cyclops (along with the essence of Jean Grey) will attack as a single unit. Elaborate on Colossus/Storm etc. *Ultimate X-Men: Absolute Power* Conclusion to Genosha as the three X-teams combine (The final battle of this era, the Muir Island Saga, saw the X-Men, X-Factor and some allies fight an old nemesis of Xavier, the Shadow King). like X-tinction Agenda (note however, that X3 was the extinction agenda). Xavier is revived under the Shi'Ar Pagan society led by Lilandra. But not in body, only in spirit. It will be revealed that Wolverine's struggles with the adamamntium is over, and that since "Weapon X" he was being manipulated by Apocalypse to become his agent of Death. Furthermore, OMEGA RED will make an appearance to pose as the final and last enemy to the Wolverine character, the last person alive who involves adamantium experimentation. A supposed 'cure' for the Legacy Virus is developed by Beast and Moira MacTaggart. It is called "Banshee" [Ultimate X-Men #94] Derived from Magneto's research (see X-Men: The Movie). BANSHEE is a wonder drug which is addictive and causes a secondary mutation to the patient. Angel becomes Death. Xavier returns in the climax. Sabretooth kills 'Death'. The Fall of Apocalypse. TEAM BLUE; TEAM GOLD; ROGUE; X-FACTOR; WOLVERINE SINISTER; THE FOUR HORSEMEN; APOCALYPSE; BISHOP; MAGNETO. While Xavier overrides Apocalypse, Magneto saves the world from nuclear armageddon. When Apocalypse was defeated, it was shown at the end that Mister Sinister was the one who had sabotaged the machine. But... what would REALLLLLLLLLY be creepy if, after all this, we show that Apocalypse never existed in the first place. All that murder, death, and suffering, the Horsemen, all of that, was all for nothing. He was simply an idea that existed because people believed he existed. [Cue tomato rain about........now]. Seriously though, in Wolverine #100, when Cannonball opened Apocalypse's sacrophagus, it was revealed to be empty. They showed that Genesis (Cable's evil son) was either delusional or lying about Apocalypse. Or that Apocalypse had gotten up and left by himself. [In the director's commentary X3, it is revealed that the patient is, in fact, the identical twin of Charles Xavier, whose mind had been destroyed before birth by the power of Charles' mutation. Thus it is that Charles' voice is used and Moira instantly recognizes him... so where does that leave Juggernaut?] Cast: Magneto Wolverine Cyclops Emma Frost Storm Beast Angel Rogue Gambit Iceman Morph Jubilee ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ADDITIONAL THEMES (apart from Mutant/Human minority issues): *Creators and destroyed by their own creations (sinister/cyclops) *Refugee Camps (Excaliber) *Virus Scare (LEGACY VIRUS) *APOCALYPSE will be an embodiment of ideals and philosophy. Like the black slab from 2001: A Space Odyssey. He will be the incarnation of malice in the world today - ideologies. His presence will evoke physical terror. And his genocide is more internal than external. This internal genocide shall wreck HAVOK among the species of the planet. It is not about extinction. Apocalypse is an ideal. Every epoch bows to an ideal - to its own idea of a supreme entity. In the post-secular age this is any original philosophy such as Freud or Sartre. But Apocalypse is not the initiator of that philosophy - he is not the sophist - rather, he is SOPHISTRY. He IS philosophy. Magneto holds the other end - he is the originator of the idea and thus wins out in the end. Under this umbrella of thought we can safely integrate the amorphous consciousness of Xaiver - whose revival is actually the revival of the idea of peace. Thus, as the movies progress it will be known as the AGE OF APOCALYPSE around the globe. Where the conflict between Homo sapien and Homo sapien Superior reaches a stage of singularity: where both races see eye to eye in the idea of destruction, death, and ultimately the Darwinian concept of only the Strongest Shall Survive (think of an intertwining triple 'S' symbol on Sinister's emblem). Philosophy = ultimate evil because it encompasses "internal genocide". Killing older ideals and making you blind to new ones. In X3 we saw Magneto and all the rage about the 'cure' taking over an entire Nation. The same will happen with the concept of Apocalypse, where the central focus will shift from totalitarianism to existentialism. More specifically it's like this: since any idea can 'take over a country' that is what Apocalypse will do - he will 'seize the nation' and continue upwards toward global domination. there, thanks for reading, I hope you can share this with you readers. --- Here it is Nave. Let's just wait how people will react to your ideas. Though for me I like it a lot. I'm really hoping for an Apocalypse storyline for the X-men movie. I think Apocalypse will bring epic proportions to the X-Men franchise, if Fox doesn't mess it up (and that's a big IF). I like that you divided it into several movies, and I for one will watch all of them. (though I am the fan that watches all CBM, I take the good with the bad ones.) But I think your ideas here are all winners. Thanks for sharing them. -access out, God speed
